From beloved CBS Sunday Morning correspondent and humorist Mo Rocca, an entertaining and rigorously researched book that celebrates the dead people who have long fascinated him.

Mo Rocca has always loved obituaries鈥攔eading about the remarkable lives of global leaders, Hollywood heavyweights, and innovators who changed the world. But not every notable life has gotten the send-off it deserves. His quest to right that wrong inspired Mobituaries, his #1 hit podcast. Now with Mobituaries, the book, he has gone much further, with all new essays on artists, entertainers, sports stars, political pioneers, founding fathers, and more. Even if you know the names, you鈥檝e never understood why they matter...until now.

Take Herbert Hoover: before he was president, he was the 鈥淕reat Humanitarian,鈥?the man who saved tens of millions from starvation. But after less than a year in the White House, the stock market crashed, and all the good he had done seemed to be forgotten. Then there鈥檚 Marlene Dietrich, well remembered as a screen goddess, less remembered as a great patriot. Alongside American servicemen on the front lines during World War II, she risked her life to help defeat the Nazis of her native Germany. And what about Billy Carter and history鈥檚 unruly presidential brothers? Were they ne鈥檈r-do-well liabilities鈥r secret weapons? Plus, Mobits for dead sports teams, dead countries, the dearly departed station wagon, and dragons. Yes, dragons.

Rocca is an expert researcher and storyteller. He draws on these skills here. With his dogged reporting and trademark wit, Rocca brings these men and women back to life like no one else can. Mobituaries is an insightful and unconventional account of the people who made life worth living for the rest of us, one that asks us to think about who gets remembered, and why.

Eight True Crime Stories of Murder & Mayhem

First Book of the True Crime Case Histories Series (2019)
A quick word of warning. The true crime short stories within this book are unimaginably gruesome. Most news stories, television crime shows and true crime documentaries tend to leave out the most horrible details about murder cases simply because they are too extreme for the general public.

I have done my best to include full details of these stories no matter how sickening they may be. In these true crime stories you'll find that truth really is more strange and vastly more disturbing than fiction.

In my first book as a true crime author I've started with a few of the stories that have haunted me for some time. Some of these stories are unbelievable in their brutality while others are astounding in the stupidity of the killers.

You'll find a story of a religious evangelical christian who would rather strangle his wife and two young boys than lose his prominent job with the church.

Then there's the story of a man that fills his wife's orifices with grease so she will be flammable from the inside.

There's the story of the small-town doctor that goes through the unbelievable lengths of performing surgery on himself to avoid going to jail for raping his patients.

Plus there're more stories of Serial Killers terrorizing cities and crime scenes that bring investigators and seasoned police to tears.

This collection of stories are from all around the globe and have no common thread between them other than that they are both thought provoking and disturbing.

The stories included in this anthology are dark and creepy and will leave you with a new understanding of just how fragile the human mind can be.

The stories include: Fred Grabbe, James Patterson Smith, Dr. John Schneeberger, Chris Coleman, Michelle Bica, Mary Bell, Graham Dwyer, Lawrence Bittaker and Roy Norris (The Toolbox Killers).

Scroll up to get your copy

True Crime Case Histories Volume 2 is coming September 2019 featuring 12 more short stories of; True Crime, Murder & Mayhem, Serial Killer Biographies, and True Murder Case Files

A PRESIDENTIAL DYNASTY. AN ARAB TERRORIST ATTACK. DEMOCRACY UNDER SIEGE. Too soon, however, he is beaten down by the political process and, disabused of his ideals, he becomes a leader totally unlike what he has been before.

When his daughter becomes a pawn in a brutal terrorist plot, Kennedy, who has obsessively kept alive the memory of his uncles鈥?assassinations, activates all his power to retaliate in a series of violent measures. As the explosive events unfold, the world and those closest to him look on with both awe and horror.

In this authoritative and engrossing full-scale biography, Walter Isaacson, bestselling author of Einstein and Steve Jobs, shows how the most fascinating of America's founders helped define our national character.

Benjamin Franklin is the founding father who winks at us, the one who seems made of flesh rather than marble. In a sweeping narrative that follows Franklin鈥檚 life from Boston to Philadelphia to London and Paris and back, Walter Isaacson chronicles the adventures of the runaway apprentice who became, over the course of his eighty-four-year life, America鈥檚 best writer, inventor, media baron, scientist, diplomat, and business strategist, as well as one of its most practical and ingenious political leaders. He explores the wit behind Poor Richard鈥檚 Almanac and the wisdom behind the Declaration of Independence, the new nation鈥檚 alliance with France, the treaty that ended the Revolution, and the compromises that created a near-perfect Constitution.

In this colorful and intimate narrative, Isaacson provides the full sweep of Franklin鈥檚 amazing life, showing how he helped to forge the American national identity and why he has a particular resonance in the twenty-first century.

The Samaritan Woman is generally portrayed in our Bible studies as a woman of ill-repute. While avoiding people because of her deep shame over her immoral life, she seemingly stumbled upon Jesus resting at a well. However, most people reading this story are left with a nagging question. How could this woman receive an overwhelmingly positive response from her village neighbors, when she called them to drop everything and come with her to meet a Jewish man, she herself had just met? Something does not add up.

There is little more terrifying than those who hunt, stalk and snatch their prey under the cloak of darkness. These hunters search not for animals, but for the touch, taste, and empowerment of human flesh. They are cannibals, vampires and monsters, and they walk among us.

These serial killers are not mythical beasts with horns and shaggy hair. They are people living among society, going about their day to day activities until nightfall. They are the Dennis Rader鈥檚, the fathers, husbands, church going members of the community.

This A-Z encyclopedia of 150 serial killers is the ideal reference book. Included are the most famous true crime serial killers, like Jeffrey Dahmer, John Wayne Gacy, and Richard Ramirez, and not to mention the women who kill, such as Aileen Wuornos and Martha Rendell. There are also lesser known serial killers, covering many countries around the world, so the range is broad.

Each of the serial killer files includes information on when and how they killed the victims, the background of each killer, or the suspects in some cases such as the Zodiac killer, their trials and punishments. For some there are chilling quotes by the killers themselves. The Big Book of Serial Killers is an easy to follow collection of information on the world鈥檚 most heinous murderers.

This book is a call to action for women everywhere, for it begins and ends with love. The essence of this book urges the heart of each woman to awaken, rise up, and heal any breakage within, to commit to a flow of empathy as an opening impulse for the mighty voice of change. It was Diana鈥檚 greatest desire that through her example each woman of the world would find their own authentic voice, expressing their own unique purpose, liberating love to transcend enmity. Diana believed that wherever tyranny was it would be freed by grace, that wherever cruelty existed it would be freed by bravery, and that wherever the voice of oppression occurred it would be freed by the voice of kindness. In this, Diana was a trailblazer!

This book is like no other, for it throws new light on the most famous woman of her time, and the most photographed woman in recorded history. This book tells who in essence Diana truly was, why her life was filled with the depths of patriarchal repudiation, as well as drawing her into the heights of the love and joy that created immense public popularity. The internal work she accomplished enhanced the radiance she brought to bear, which shone into the world with such brilliance, and from this telling you to will gain your own dazzling transformation, your own authentic shining signature sound, and your own illuminated soul radiance!

For the first time you will discover the truth about Diana鈥檚 enlightened life principles: the codes that helped her sustain her love, healed her pain, and what secret keys were used to focus her extraordinary life and destiny. Furthermore, these same keys may be used to focus your destiny, in order to help you find your soul鈥檚 expression, your loving creativity, your voice of change. Which, when discovered will resonate through the whole of your being, assisting you to live your soul鈥檚 purpose, filling your pulse and breath with inspirational excitement. In turn this will allow you to experience a new form of harmony, a new sense of soul, and a new form of radiance. This is the legacy that Diana wanted to you to have, with all of the love and personality that she brought to her life and express through her many interactions for the spirit of all sentient beings!

It was my great honor to be Diana鈥檚 confidential Voice & Presence Coach throughout the last two years of her earthly existence, and so the book begins and ends with love, providing a testimony about the Princess鈥檚 life and death that answers the unanswerable, and questions the unquestionable. This book will enthrall you by its magic, as you read about how Diana achieved freedom from oppression, became a force of liberation that literally shook the world, and why she was taken from us to become a force of Divine Inspiration. There is no doubt that this work will help to heal her passing, purifying the collective psychic wound around her passing, and will give prophecy that although Diana may no longer be in flesh, her spirit lives on communicating to us all, for Diana was a powerful agent of the zeitgeist.聽

The revelations I provide in the book, alongside the extraordinary empowerment techniques, will be a powerful reminder to you all, to listen to Diana as an exemplar of love, and thereby to live that force that will literally heal the world.

www.dianathevoiceofchange.com
